







Following the guidance of the National Natural Disaster Management Committee and under the supervision of the Rakhine State Government and Yangon Region Government, essential food items and rice are being transported to Rakhine State by ship.
In the morning on July 22, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, accompanied by members of the State Government and departmental officials, inspected the arrival of these supplies, along with construction materials and consumer goods from Yangon, at the Sittwe Multipurpose Jetty. The vessels involved were MV-ALLIANCE (002), MV Taw Win Thiri, MV Taw Win Yadana, MV Ye Tun Aung (3), and MV Aung Yadana (1).
First, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the loading and unloading of construction materials for the Khaung Doke Kar ခေါင်းဒုက္ကာ (2) IDP Camp reconstruction project in Sittwe Township from the MV-ALLIANCE (002) vessel, which was arranged by the National Natural Disaster Management Committee. They observed the use of both human labor and machinery in the operation. The Chief Minister gave instructions to ensure systematic loading and unloading, prevent damage or loss of goods, avoid delivery to unnecessary locations, and maintain safe operations. He also coordinated necessary actions with the responsible officials.
Next, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the loading and unloading of rice and essential food items from the MV Taw Win Thiri, MV Taw Win Yadana, MV Ye Tun Aung (3), and MV Aung Yadana (1) vessels. He instructed officials to ensure the fastest possible distribution and sale in the market and to prevent the goods from reaching unintended destinations.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister observed internally displaced persons (IDPs) from temporary camps participating in the loading and unloading work. He met with them, offered words of encouragement, and then instructed responsible officials to coordinate efforts to provide continued employment opportunities for the local population.
