Argentina govt aims to control soaring prices

On Friday Argentine President said the government will renew its efforts to control prices and called for a meeting with all sectors next week to agree on a strategy to lower inflation.

Last month's inflation index reached 4.7 percent, raising concerns about the inflationary trend in Argentina. In 2021, the yearly inflation increased prices by half. People at a Buenos Aires market said they are struggling to cope with the constant hikes. Some customers are buying less and some even search for damaged goods to ask for discounts.
