People are struggling to make ends meet in Argentina, coping with constant inflation, which in 2021 was considered one of the worst in the world. On Friday Argentine President said the government will renew its efforts to control prices and called for a meeting with all sectors next week to agree on a strategy to lower inflation.

Last month's inflation index reached 4.7 percent, raising concerns about the inflationary trend in Argentina. In 2021, the yearly inflation increased prices by half. People at a Buenos Aires market said they are struggling to cope with the constant hikes. Some customers are buying less and some even search for damaged goods to ask for discounts.
