








A ceremony to appoint refresher nurses of the Ministry of Health was held at the Ministry on Monday.
At the event, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khine Win said that the Ministry is nurturing health human resources such as doctors, nurses, midwives and medical practitioners annually in accordance with the state demand to provide quality health care to the people.
The Union Minister urged the newly appointed nurses to strive for their qualification and to adhere to the professional code of conduct that the nurses must follow in serving responsibilities of the state at the respective places where they are assigned.
Deputy Minister Prof. Dr Aye Tun handed over appointment certificates for the graduated nurses from the nursing schools of Nay Pyi Taw, Monywa and Loikaw through the representatives.
At the ceremony, 65 new nurses from the nursing schools of Nay Pyi Taw, Monywa and Loikaw were appointed at the ceremony in the Ministry of Health and 619 new nurses from 22 nursing/midwifery training schools were appointed in the respective regions and states and a total of 684 new nurses were appointed.
Moreover, 165 midwives who will complete the training soon, will be appointed as much as possible and training and bridging courses will be also conducted.
