Application for party registration: Pa-O National Unity Party submitted its application

In accordance with Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law, which allows political parties to participate in a multi-party democratic general election, the Pa-O National Unity Party, wishing to establish a political party, submitted its application to the Union Election Commission on May 5 in line with the relevant laws and regulations.

As of to date, a total of 25 parties have applied under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law. In addition, 50 parties have applied to continue as registered political parties under Section 25 of the same law, making a total of 75 parties. It is reported that the Union Election Commission is in the process of reviewing the application submitted by this group for permission to establish the party.
