






An anti-corruption awareness discussion jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour and the Anti-Corruption Commission was held on August 10 in Nay Pyi Taw.
It’s attended by Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe and Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman U Soe Thein. In his opening address, the Union Minister stated that staff need to understand the provisions, offenses, and penalties outlined in the Anti-Corruption Law. He emphasized that staff must refrain from soliciting, taking, or accepting money or benefits in performing their duties, as well as abusing their official authority.
Following this, Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman U Soe Thein highlighted the negative consequences of corruption, noting that all forms of corruption hinder the overall development of the nation. During the discussion, officials delivered lectures explaining corruption prevention and the Anti-Corruption Law. And, attendees asked questions regarding corruption, which were answered by officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission Office.
