AI: after the billions announced, Lille summit discusses concrete applications

The Hauts-de-France region is moving aggressively to position itself as the "AI Valley" of Europe. Following a monumental investment announcement, the region has launched a major public initiative called "AI with Us", designed to bridge the gap between global tech infrastructure and its direct benefits for local citizens.

SoftBank is deploying a staggering €45 billion to build mega AI data centers across Hauts-de-France. The project aims to deliver 3 gigawatts (GW) of computing power split across three distinct supercomputers. To put this in perspective, 3 GW is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of several million French households, instantly making it one of the most powerful computing grids in Europe.
