







On August 19, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung attended a seed and fertilizer distribution ceremony alongside a monsoon crop educational exhibition held in Ward No. 5, Namsang Township.
During the event, the Union Minister discussed plans to provide assistance in utilizing quality seed strains and livestock breeds, as well as securing market access for local produce in the Namsang region, methods for acquiring agricultural investment funds and irrigation water and aligning farmland usage with the Farmland Law and opportunities for collaborative agricultural mechanization.
Local farmers subsequently raised their requirements regarding regional development and boosting agricultural output. The Union Minister coordinated solutions with relevant officials and presented sunflower seeds, soybean seeds, and chemical fertilizers to farmer representatives.
Following the event, officials guided farmers on a tour of demonstration plots organized by the Department of Agriculture. Later, the Union Minister inspected a private dairy cattle farm and coffee plantation in Htin Shu Myaing Village, Namsang Village-tract, providing instructions to address operational needs.
He also visited a private corn shelling and packaging/storage facility, as well as MSME finished-goods processing workshops in Ward No. 2, offering suggestions to expand business operations. Additionally, the Union Minister met with district and township agricultural sector officials. He delivered detailed instructions on managing local agricultural and livestock development, boosting produce output, and ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
