




Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan made inspection of agriculture sector in Mohnyin District. Before the inspection, in Waingmaw Township, the Chief Minister attended opening of private commercial vehicles supervision committee office.
There, pledging to provide necessary assistance, he said that since the supervision committee was formed, it will be possible to manage the flow of goods in an orderly manner as Waingmaw Township is located on the main Myanmar-China trade road. During the inspection in Mohnyin District, the Chief Minister inspected sunflower and soybean plantation farms in Inlay Village and LalHmee Village-tract, held talks with farmers and growers and provided vegetable crop seeds and pure sunflower seeds.
At the Mohnyin District Assembly Office, the Chief Minister met with district/township/ward/village agriculture and livestock project supervisory committees’ members under the state economic promotion fund programme. In the meeting, he highlighted allocation of 1.46 billion Kyats for Mohnyin District from the fund programme and a field inspection will be conducted for budget allocation for manufacturing activities.
And, he heard reports from the attendees, provided veterinary vaccines and fulfilled the requirements. The Chief Minister continued his inspection trip to a sunflower plantation farm in InnKone Village-tract, held talks with locals and vegetable crop seeds and pure sunflower seeds. He also inspected the condition of experimental cultivation of soybean plants at the Agricultural Research Farm in Mohnyin Township.
