Academic Affairs: Union Minister inspects exam centers

Union Minister for Euducation Dr Nyunt Pe viewed around the Basic Education High School exam centers and school buildings in Ayeyawady Region on Tuesday. First, Union Minister visited the exam centers in high schools in Nyaungdon, Pantanaw and Kangyidaunt townships of Ayeyawady Region and looked into preparations for holding the matriculation exam.

There, the Union Minister called for making efforts for holding the exam in line with rules and regulations and emphans is on taking the exam by students with peac of mind. The Union Minister then viewed around the school building and called for maintenance of the teaching hall, greening of the school environs and renovation tasks to be carried out berfore the school open season and systematic use of school furniture and equipment.

At the Satkawt and Kan Gyi Daunt Basic Education High Schools, they looked into arrangements for construction of new teaching building of Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock school and stressed on timely completion of the building meeting set standard within the target time.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met rector, pro-rector, heads of departments, faculties, officers and staff at the Pathein University Convocation Hall and called for serving the duties responsibility and working together in a family spirit. In the evening, the Union Minister visited Pathein Education Degree College and held meeting with faculties and trainees. He then visited the exam centers of No.6 Basic Education High School and No.1 High School in Pathein.
