







The ceremony commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Myanmar Fire Brigade Day, was held at the Taunggyi District Fire Station, located 2 miles from the Taunggyi-Hopong highway on May 5.
During the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung emphasized the importance of forming and training local Search and Rescue Teams equipped with advanced rescue technologies in order to respond effectively to new natural disaster challenges.
He urged the continuation of the fire brigade’s proud traditions and called for successful implementation of the fire brigade’s four core objectives. Following this, an award ceremony was held in which Chief Minister U Aung Aung presented awards to those who excelled in training and for maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the station.
Demonstrations were conducted, including rescue operations during road traffic accidents, using stabilizers and hydraulic rescue tools to extract and save victims from vehicles, high-rise rescue demonstrations using life-saving ropes, rescuing individuals trapped on high floors with a hydraulic platform, extinguishing high-rise building fires using LUF Nano, putting out gas stove fires using cooling systems, demonstrations on extinguishing fuel tank fires, use of ventilators and 3D nozzles for cooling operations, use of chemical foam to extinguish oil fires.
After that, Chief Minister U Aung Aung presented cash of honor, accepted on behalf of the State Fire Brigade by its Chief. The cash assistance was also presented to the No. 3 Basic Education High School Drum and Bugle Corps, by the Chief of Fire Brigade. The Chief Minister and officials, then toured the exhibition of firefighting and search-and-rescue equipment on display.
