





If the agricultural products and animal feed industries can be implemented successfully by using effectively water and land resources for regional development, land use and boosting productivity, the industries and industrial zones based on these products will be developed and it will greatly contribute to the development of the country.
That’s why, the Central Committee and the State/Region sub-committees are scrutinizing step by step for systematic management of fallow and virgin lands for the benefit of those who really want to cultivate and reclaim lands that have not been implemented said by Chairman of the Central Committee for Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo at the 6th coordination meeting of the Central Committee in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
As of the end of the 5th meeting of the Central Committee, a total of over 11,000 acres of land including more than 6,000 acres of land for agriculture, over 800 acres of land for livestock breeding, about 400 acres of land for mining and more than 3,000 acres for other industries that are conformity with the law have been permitted the rights.
Among 2.2 million acres of permitted lands, a total of over 1.5 million acres of land including 24,000 acres of reclaimed lands in the time of the Central Committee have been reclaimed as the license has been obtained but not implemented within the specified period.
