360ed-Learning Apps: New Apps For Educational Reforms In Myanmar Introduced

The 360ed-Visioneering Learning apps for educational reforms in Myanmar was introduced in Yangon on Sunday.

With the collaboration of Ministry of Education, Edutech start-up, 360ed and Mpride introduced the new apps. This is the English learning apps for Grade-2 to Grade-5 of Myanmar curriculum.

This apps was founded with a core version to reform the prevailing educational system in Myanmar through innovative digital technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and smart phone technologies in the curriculum.

At the event, representatives of Mpride and 360ed presented about the functions and instructions of the new learning apps and discussed its benefits to the education sector and their upcoming future plan.

CEO & Founder, 360ed, Hla Hla Win said “We will start free English apps for Grade-2 and-3 now and we have plans to give Grade-1 to-6 in the next year. The world nations closed schools for safety because of COVID 19. So, if we face like this condition in our country, the children will rely on self-study at home. Apps launching will start as of May before the school opening season. The children can learn all lessons of school text book for free through the application.”

The learning app will provide opportunities to the students for self learning system and to make the experiments in science lab. Before introducing, they tested the apps to touch with students from urban and rural areas like Bagan, Nay Pyi Daw, Bago, Myitkyina, Hpa-an and Pathein, an official of Mpride said.

Mpride Company, Managing Director, Zaw Myo Hlaing said “With the management of 360ed, we support many teacher trainings in all areas annually. 360ed has already handed over the learning apps to the Ministry of Education for grade-1. Grade-2 and 3 will be ready to use in June, Grade-4 in December and Grade- 5 in June next year. We donated over 250 million kyats for this apps. We tested this application with both children and teachers in urban and rural regions for three months. It is effective for the education.”

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed with Ministry of Education since September 2018 for the learning apps. The apps is targeted to reach 6 million students in Myanmar by conducting teacher trainings, according the Mpride.
