31st SEA GAMES: Myanmar won 9 gold, 18 silver and 35 bronze medals

Myanmar sports contingent who took part in the 31st SEA Games which is held in Hanoi and other related cities in Viet Nam from 12th to 23rd May arrived at Yangon International Airport on Sunday evening.

They were welcomed at the airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, Yangon Region Ministers and officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and relatives of the athletes.

The sports team was comprised of Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan who attended the 31st SEA Games as an invited person together with gold, silver and bronze medalists and athletes from respective sports and Myanmar international referees. Myanmar won 9 gold, 18 silver and 35 bronze medals at the 31st SEA Games held in Viet Nam.
