2023 Monsoon Market Festival: Industrial Products and EV Exhibition in Yangon

As the 2023 Monsoon Market Festival, the Industrial Products and Electric Vehicle Exhibition organized by Yangon Region Government is being displayed at the People’s Square in Yangon from 4th to 6th August for three days. 

The products booths of 29 Industrial zones in Yangon Region, MSME booths from regions and states, booths of small scale industrial entrepreneurs, EVs, technological booths  of Myanmar Computer Federation as digital economy corner,  booths of UMFCCI and Brothers Associations, Myanmar Women Entrepreneurships Association, other associations and private business sectors are displayed at the exhibition. For the visitors, electric vehicles are being displayed at the exhibition, aiming to widely use EVs across the nation.

Chief Operating Officer of Asia Pacific Automaker Corporation said that their company will display 3-wheeled motor vehicles and 4-wheeled vehicle types at the exhibition and currently, they have imported 17 types of EVs as the three-wheeled vehicles during he replied the interview at the Asia World Port Terminal. 

Ye Maung, Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific Automaker Corporation (APAC), said " The types of electric vehicles arrived at the Asia World Port Terminal are 3-wheeled Jinpeng type EVs. APAC will display 3-wheeled motor vehicles and 4-wheeled vehicle types. The 3 wheel vehicles are imported with the aims for the convenient transportation in rural areas, reducing the use of diesel and for more safety of passengers as they have full covers. This type of EVs can travel around 30 to 70 kilometers per day and depending on the uses, the EVs can be charged at home and charging stations. People can observe the types of EVs at the monsoon market festival organized by Yangon region government."

At the festival, the products of regions and states as well as products of 29 Industrial zones in Yangon Region and MSME products are put on display from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rice, edible oil and eggs will be sold at equitable price. For the convenience of sellers and visitors, the rice restaurants will be opened to be able to have the food at fair price. Entertainment programs and e-sports games will be shown during the exhibition period and the businessmen can promote their products at the promotion area.
