14 trapped in coal mine collapse in southern China

A coal mine collapse in southwestern China has trapped 14 miners. The location where the roof collapse occurred is 3 kilometers away from the mine entrance, and the area of the collapse is large, which poses considerable difficulty to the rescue work. The trapped people were in the middle section of the collapse - approximately 75 meters from the mine entrance.

More than 500 people have been organized locally to help with the rescue, and more than 80 emergency vehicles have been deployed such as ambulances, bulldozers, and mobile power generators. Emergency personnel are attempting to dig out an escape tunnel 2.2 meters wide and 3 meters high.
