13th Plenary Meeting: State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Plenary Meeting

The first-day session of the 13th Plenary Meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee commenced at Maha Pasana Cave on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon on Saturday.

The meeting was attended by members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Chairman of the Committee Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko and officials.

After delivering the Saraniya Ovada Katha by the Chairman Sayadaw, Union Minister U Ko Ko supplicated the religious affairs. It was followed by the submitting of the summary reports on the activities during the fifth term of the eighth State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (Second Sub-committee). The meeting also discussed the religious matters.

Earlier in the day, the Union Minister and party paid respect to the Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Dr BhaddantaCandimaBhivamsa at Maha Nayaka Monastery and offered 3 million kyats cash donation.
