“Safe ICT Services”: Ministry of Transport & Communications holds Workshop

Ministry of Transport and Communications held the “Safe ICT Services” Workshop on Friday afternoon at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

There, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San stressed that to be able to safely use and improve the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) services is important for the digital economy of the country. e-Government is playing an important role in the country and cyber security is also becoming very important.

Laws need to be amended and enacted to protect misinformation, cyber abuses and cybercrimes while it is necessary to be able to manage with technology, he added. This Workshop focused on matters to discuss and review the ongoing ICT services for the emergence of long-term, sustainable and independent ICT services and good e-Government solutions.
