‘Strawberry Supermoon’ marks lowest full moon of year

Astronomers marked the moon reaching its full stage early on Tuesday in what is known as the 'Strawberry Supermoon'. The moon will appear full from Sunday night to Wednesday morning. The event is labeled as the "Strawberry Moon" according to Native American tradition, because it is the full moon at strawberry harvest time.Supermoons refer to periods in which the moon is at its closest to Earth.
