‘Doburoku’ sake festival held in World Heritage village, central Japan on Tuesday.

Locals and tourists got a taste of “doburoku,” sake in the festival. Doburoku is a Japanese unfiltered sake and a cloudy brew made from rice, koji mold and water. The village’s doburoku has been used in rituals for about 1,300 years. The artisanal sake brewed by local people is offered to the gods at several shrines as a prayer for a bountiful harvest.
