Rural Development: Efforts for development of weaving industry

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein visited the Weaving and Vocational Training School in Hpa-an of Kayin State, on Saturday.

In his speech, the Union Minister emphasized the need to create job opportunities in the weaving industry while developing innovative designs to expand market opportunities.

He also stressed the importance of upgrading machinery, preserving traditional weaving industries to generate income for rural communities, producing quality products to compete in international markets, and providing design courses featuring traditional Kayin, Mon, Pa-O and Shan designs.
