International Conference : 18th Myanmar Radiology Conference in Yangon

The 18th Myanmar Radiology Conference took place in Yangon on Friday, with the attendance of Union Minister for Health Dr. Soe Win. In his speech, the Union Minister highlighted advances in medical imaging, early disease detection, interventional radiology and artificial intelligence (AI).

He also emphasized the importance of medical training, international cooperation and research to improve healthcare services in Myanmar.

The two-day conference, held on November 6 and 7, brought together local radiologists and 12 international experts from China, Cambodia, Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam including the Chair of Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology, to share knowledge, research and professional experiences.

During the event, the Union Minister also met with representatives of Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Medical Association, Myanmar Red Cross Society and People’s Health Foundation, to discuss improving public healthcare, medical education, research and tobacco control efforts.
