Myanmar Traditional Festival, “Pwe Zay,” opened at the Yangon Convention Centre (YCC) on Friday, bringing together traditional foods, regional products and cultural activities to promote and preserve Myanmar’s cultural heritage.

Organized by the Myanmar Cultural Heritage Trust, the three-day festival will run from November 6 to 8 and is open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event features 155 stalls showcasing traditional Myanmar foods, regional food products, ethnic specialties and consumer goods from different parts of the country.

The market is divided into three zones. Zone A features food and refreshments, while Zone B showcases food products from various regions. Zone C displays and sells regional products from ethnic communities alongside a variety of consumer goods. A range of cultural performances and activities will also take place throughout the festival.

The festival is expected to serve as a platform for promoting traditional foods, regional products and cultural practices while encouraging young people to appreciate, preserve and carry forward Myanmar’s rich cultural heritage.
