Industrial Development: Union Minister visit Pangpet Steel Mill

A coordination meeting to operate the Waste Heat Recovery Power System and Romelt Shop in No.2 Steel Mill (Pangpet) was held at the mill in Taunggyi township of Shan State on 31st October, with the attendance of Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr Charlie Than.

During the meeting, the Union Minister highlighted ensuring the project completion on time, following the guidelines in line with the Project Management System and conducting capacity building training. Then, the officials presented the progress of the project including inspection and installation of the machines.

On November 1, the Union Minister inspected the installation and test running of the machines at the Limestone and Dolomite workshop, checking and installing the machines together with staff and foreign experts at Waste Heat Recover Power System and Romelt Shop. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed to learn engineering drawing models and operation process of the machines, while conducting regular maintenance works, and beautifying tasks.
