Coordination Meeting: Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman gives guidelines

A coordination meeting with departmental officials at the Union Territory (Nay Pyi Taw) level was held on Thursday morning at the Nay Pyi Taw Council Office.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council U Kan Myint Than, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, officials from the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee, and heads of departmental offices. First, in his opening address, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council urged responsible officials to work together collaboratively to boost national economic growth and production, maintain price stability, create job opportunities through foreign investment and garment manufacturing, and foster human resource development through education within the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory.

He emphasized that as the nation is based on agriculture and livestock, efforts must be driven to advance value-added products from agricultural output through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises to penetrate both domestic consumption and export markets. Regarding current weather conditions, he highlighted that extreme temperatures due to the El Niño phenomenon require proactive planning to prevent drinking water shortages, along with measures to store and conserve sufficient water in reservoirs, dams, rivers, tube wells, and ponds.Afterward, responsible officials presented updates on their respective ongoing operations. Nay Pyi Taw Council members provided supplementary discussions on the reports, and the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council coordinated necessary actions.
