Coordination Meeting: Preparation for successful holding of 79th Independence Day

The Central Committee for Holding the 79th Anniversary Independence Day held a coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Chairman of the Central Committee Vice President U Nyo Saw attended the meeting and discussed plans for successful organizing of the ceremony. The Central Committee for Organizing the 79th Anniversary of Independence Day was formed with the approval of the President, along with 10 subcommittees. Four national objectives were laid down to organize the ceremony at the state level.

The objectives are to safeguard the Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of National Solidarity and Perpetuation of Sovereignty, consistently prioritize the interests of the State and its people, to work together in unity to achieve lasting peace throughout the country, to strengthen cooperation between the people and the government with perseverance, in line with the motto “The strength of the nation lies within the country”, and to continuously strive to develop the nation’s economy and improve people’s livelihoods to make Myanmar a country of which its people can be proud on the world stage.

The Vice President called for cooperation of all concerned personnel for successful holding of the Independence Day.
