Four sacred Buddha Images from the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda in Inle Lake arrived at the Atthadisa Dhammavihara Monastery in Nyaung Shwe on Sunday as part of their annual religious tour of 21 locations in the Inle Lake region.

The Buddha Images were conveyed from Linkin Village across Inle Lake using 42 traditional boats and a ceremonial barge.

The event featured demonstrations of electric boats to reduce fuel use and water pollution, traditional Intha dances, and cultural performances.

Local residents and visitors gathered to pay their respects and watch the celebrations. Traditional Intha boat races were also held, including men's, women's, and student competitions. Officials presented awards to the winning teams.

At the monastery, Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe and officials offered food, flowers, candles, water, and gold foils to the sacred Buddha Images. Members of the Sangha delivered Buddhist sermons and blessings, followed by religious offerings and prayers.
