The Ministry of Labour held a meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday, to discuss measures to protect Myanmar migrant workers abroad and promote the use of official channels for remittances to their families.

Union Minister for Labour U Maung Myint attended the meeting along with officials, representatives of relevant ministries, private banks, licensed remittance service providers, overseas employment agencies, experts and Myanmar ambassadors from countries where Myanmar workers are employed. More than 600 participants attended in person and online.
