Final match of Football Tournament: MGY Region CM awarded medals, cash prizes and certificates

The final match and prize presentation ceremony of the 2026 Men's Open Multi-Club Rainy Season Invitational Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Saku Town Sports Committee under Minbu (Saku) Township, Minbu District, Magway Region, was held at 3:00 PM on September 28 at the Saku Town Main Sports Ground.

At the football tournament, the final match was attended and enthusiastically cheered on in a joyful atmosphere by Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko, Region Hluttaw Speaker Dr. Maung Maung Htay, Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Khin Maung Nyo, Region Government Ministers, officials from region, district, and township level departments, and football fans from both teams.

In the 2026 Men's Open Multi-Club Rainy Season Invitational Cup Football Tournament organized by the Saku Town Sports Committee, competing teams from wards in Saku Town and nearby villages, teams from Minbu (Saku), Pwintbyu , Salin , and Ngape townships within Minbu District, as well as clubs from within Magway Region, participated with a total of 25 teams divided into 8 groups. Group round-robin matches, quarter-final matches, and semi-final matches were held from August 15, to September 25. The final match was played on September 28 between Hta Taung Taw Futsal Club and Thamahti  Village Football Team, competing fiercely, with Hta Taung Taw Futsal Club winning (6-2) to claim the championship.

After the match, the prize presentation ceremony continued, where Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko and responsible officials presented first place, second place prizes, as well as individual best player awards, and all organizations that cooperated and contributed to making the football tournament a success, were presented medals, cash prizes, and certificates of honor.
