Efforts for Education Sector : Libraries Development and Reading Campaign

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended and encouraged the Opening Ceremony of the School Libraries Development and Reading Campaign Festival at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Mingaladon Township on Tuesday.

First, the Chief Minister and officials opened the ceremony by cutting the ribbon. The Chief Minister then toured and viewed the departmental display booths and competitions at the event. Following that, students opened the ceremony with a performance of the song "Library, the Repository of Knowledge."

Afterwards, the Chief Minister delivered the opening speech and presented a token of honor to the literary guest speaker and monetary awards to the entertainment troupes. Cash donations for the event were then presented by donors, which were accepted by Yangon Region Ministers, who in turn presented certificates of honor. Lastly, a member of the Yangon Region Library Supervisory Committee donated fiction and non-fiction books for the school library, which were accepted by the principal.
