Book Donation Ceremony: MOI UM accepted books, returned certificate of honor

A ceremony to donate copies of the books Articles on Scientists and Modern Digital Technology and A Collection of Useful Knowledge, written by author Professor Dr Than Zin (Physics), to public libraries under the Department of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Information, was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw Monday morning.

At the ceremony, author Professor Dr Than Zin (Physics) explained the main purposes of donating the books. Next, author Professor Dr Than Zin (Physics) and Managing Director Daw Thiri Aung of We Channel Company Limited donated 100 copies each of Articles on Scientists and Modern Digital Technology and A Collection of Useful Knowledge.

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin accepted the donated books and presented certificates of honour in return. The Union Minister then highlighted the benefits of the donated books and said that they would be distributed to public libraries so that members of the public could easily access and read them free of charge through the libraries' lending services. The donated books will subsequently be distributed to public libraries under the Department of Information and Public Relations, it is reported.
