Final preparations underway in Paris ahead of Pope Leo XIV’s arrival

There are four days left until Pope Leo XIV visits France. Several hundred thousand people are expected to attend the massive open-air mass.

Whether at the Stade de France, the Place de la Concorde, or the Champs-Élysées, final preparations in Paris are intensifying. He will arrive in France on Friday.  For this historic visit, shops and metro stations will remain closed.  Aboard the Popemobile, Leo XIV will travel 2.5 km to Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, where he will deliver a homily. Another highlight: on Saturday, 600,000 people are expected on the Champs-Élysées and the Place de la Concorde for a solemn mass.
