United Russia Secures Record 355 Seats in Russia’s 450-Member State Duma

Russia’s United Russia party has secured 355 of the 450 seats in the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, according to preliminary results announced by Central Election Commission Chair Ella Pamfilova.

With almost all votes counted after a three-day parliamentary election, United Russia achieved a higher number of seats than its previous record of 343 seats in 2016. The Communist Party secured the second-largest number of seats, with 40, according to the preliminary results.
