Britain's Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Ireland counterpart Micheál Martin held an official meeting at No 10 North in Manchester. The bilateral meeting focused on strengthening British-Irish relations, trade cooperation, and deepening UK-EU links while Ireland holds the rotating EU presidency.

The visit occurred days after US President Donald Trump sparked diplomatic conversations by endorsing a united Ireland. Burnham reiterated his commitment to upholding the Good Friday Agreement and looking after all parts of the UK.
