Election Observation: Myanmar Parliamentary delegation in Russia

A delegation led by Deputy Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U Maung Maung Ohn attended the international conference on "Elections in Time of Turbulence" in Moscow of Russia on September 18.

The delegation is in Russia to observe the elections of deputies to the 9th State Duma. Chairwoman of Russia's Central Election Commission Mrs. Ella Pamfilova explained the election process and preparation measures. Over 1,000 observers from 133 countries came to observe the elections, and representatives from 8 countries shared the election experience.

The delegation also joined the dinner reception, hosted by the Russia's Central Election Commission Chairwoman and enjoyed the performance of Russian traditional music and dance.
