Study Tour : Vice President tours in China

Vice President U Nyo Saw received Mayor of Guangzhou Mr. Sun Zhiyang on September 19, during his visit in Nanning of China. They discussed matters on bilateral relations, cooperation and promoting maritime trade. On September 18, the delegation visited Madao Junction on the Pinglu Canal.

Located in Jiuzhou Town, the canal connects inland waterways to the sea, allowing the passage for large cargo ships. Officials explained the completion status of the project, its benefits and navigation allowance condition.

The Vice President later observed the AI technology assisted automated container terminals where officials explained the docking of international and local ships, handling of cargo loads, and the use of innovative technology.

On September 17, the Vice President received Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Mr. Wei Tao, and discussed on promoting bilateral relations and cooperation, accelerating the trade activities and implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative projects and China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.
