Science & Technology: Dy Minister attends forum and expo in China

Deputy Minister for Science and TechnologyDr. Nay Chi Lei Lei Thein attended the 14thChina-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Collaborative Innovation Forum held from September 16 to 17 in Nanning of China.

On September 16, the Deputy Minister delivered a speech regarding AI Innovation Cooperation at the forum. She shared Myanmar's science and technology development initiatives aimed at advancing AI technology and further promoting AI cooperation between China and ASEAN nations.

She also presented awards at the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Furthermore, during the forum and related side events, participants exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in science, technology, and innovation within the China-ASEAN region, boosting technology transfers, and effectively utilizing technology for socio-economic development.

Following this, the Deputy Minister visited Wuxiang Cloud Valley Co., Ltd. and the Guangxi Institute of Artificial Intelligence to observe research, practical applications, and operations related to the development of artificial intelligence and related modern technologies. On September 17, the Deputy Minister attended the opening ceremony of the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo. She toured the advanced technology pavilions on display and held discussions with relevant organizations to promote technological sector development and strengthen tech-based cooperation.
