Relief Supplies : 95 tons of rice provided to flood victims in Sagaing Region

A total of 95 tons of rice donated by the People’s Republic of China under the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Tier 3 (2025) programme was provided to flood-affected people in Sagaing Region on 13 September.

Chief Minister U Ko Lay and officials attended the rice distribution event held at the Sagaing District Agriculture Department office. The Chief Minister stressed the need for authorities and the public to make preparations in advance for natural disasters and to work together on disaster preparedness and awareness programmes.

The donated rice was subsequently distributed to flood-affected people in the region. A representative of the flood victims expressed thanks to the donors and authorities.
