Welcoming Ceremony : Red carpet welcome and bilateral talks

Cambodian Acting Head of State and Senate President Samdech Hun Sen warmly welcomed President U Min Aung Hlaing with a guard of honour at the Peace Palace of the Cambodian Senate on Friday.

Prior to the official ceremony, the Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing travelled from their hotel to the Peace Palace of the Cambodian Senate. Along the route, Cambodian people warmly welcomed the Myanmar delegation by waving the national flags of both countries, holding photographs of the two countries’ leaders and bouquets of flowers.

Scout youths also saluted the visiting delegation. Upon arrival at the venue, President U Min Aung Hlaing was warmly received by Cambodian Acting Head of State and Senate President Samdech Hun Sen. The two leaders then received the salute of the guard of honour. During the ceremony, the military band played the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

President U Min Aung Hlaing subsequently inspected the guard of honour. Following the inspection, Hun Sen and President U Min Aung Hlaing introduced the senior officials from the two countries attending the ceremony. President U Min Aung Hlaing and Cambodian Acting Head of State and Senate President Samdech Hun Sen later held talks, discussing matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations between Myanmar and Cambodia.
