



Russia and North Korea have finished building their first cross-border road bridge for vehicles. A ceremony was held on Monday to mark the completion of the new bridge over the Tumangan River.
The prime ministers of both countries addressed the ceremony via video link. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the two nations are creating new opportunities to expand their logistic capabilities and to strengthen regional cooperation and production capacity in the Far East.
North Korean Premier Pak Thae Song called the bridge's completion a significant event that will bring a bright outlook for both nations' development, adding that it gives new momentum to every aspect of bilateral cooperation. Officials said the border crossing for the 1-kilometer bridge will be able to handle 300 vehicles and more than 2,000 people per day.
