China, Singapore launch joint maritime exercise

A joint maritime exercise between China and Singapore started Saturday in south China's Guangdong Province, marking the fifth such cooperation held by the two countries. Key activities included live-fire naval gunfire drills, replenishment-at-sea, communications and maneuvering exercises, and joint search-and-rescue operations.

The exercise aims to deepen mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation, and enhance their ability to jointly safeguard regional peace and stability.
