India hosts BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum in New Delhi

India is hosting the BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum in New Delhi. The three-day forum began on Friday, bringing together judicial leaders, to discuss key issues related to justice and international cooperation. 

Addressing the forum, Indian Chief Justice Surya Kant highlighted the importance of mediation as an effective means of resolving disputes and discrepancies arising in global trade and international relations. Discussions centered around modernizing judicial administration, strengthening cross-border trade mechanisms, and deepening judicial cooperation among member states and partner nations.

Participants discussed using commercial mediation and international arbitration to resolve business disputes, aimed at boosting investor confidence and facilitating cross-border trade.
