Filipina actress and singer Lea Salonga receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Filipina Broadway actress and singer Lea Salonga received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, making history as the first Filipina to earn the prestigious honor. She was famous for originating the role of Kim in Miss Saigon, for which she won a Tony Award and provided the iconic singing voices for Disney princesses Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan.
