India prepares to host 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi

New Delhi is preparing to host world leaders next week for the 18th annual BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13.

The engagements have been hosted across more than 25 cities in India, showcasing the country's diversity and collective strength. The events have brought together different parts of the country, reflecting India’s diversity and collective strength. 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the BRICS grouping. Leaders are expected to discuss strengthening intra-BRICS trade, reforming international multilateral institutions and facilitating cross-border payment integration using local currencies.
