China’s Xi holds talks with Egyptian President in Cairo

Chinese President Xi Jinping held high-level talks with Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo on Wednesday. Xi, on his first three-day visit to Egypt in a decade, focuses on bilateral cooperation, regional security, and economic agreements spanning artificial intelligence, energy, and transport infrastructure.

Both leaders reviewed the expansion of investments within the Suez Canal Economic Zone and cooperation in electronics and local high-tech industries. Discussions also touched upon proposals by Chinese tech giant Huawei to supply advanced AI processors and build data-center infrastructure for the Egyptian government.
