Iran's president meets Pakistani PM in Kyrgyzstan

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  Both leaders discussed the overall stability of the region, emphasizing the need to de-escalate tensions and avoid broader conflicts, particularly given recent geopolitical instability in West Asia.

The leaders focused on expanding trade, enhancing connectivity, and strengthening economic linkages between Iran and Pakistan, exploring ways to optimize border trade mechanisms.
