China's Xi and Kyrgyzstan's Japarov sign bilateral treaty in Bishkek

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov attended the documents signing ceremony in Bishkek, where Xi arrived for a state visit and a two-day summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a regional bloc that seeks to be a counterinfluence to the West.

According to Kyrgyzstan's President's office, the leaders signed a Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, as well as a declaration of strategic partnership.
