The United States announced over $3.6 million in humanitarian aid for Nepal on Saturday. This funding follows catastrophic flash floods triggered by a glacial collapse along the Nepal-Tibet border, which caused hundreds of deaths and left thousands missing.

It also included humanitarian assistance, up to three months of emergency food assistance to up to 10,000 flood-affected households. The deadly flash floods severely impacted mountainous valleys and districts, adding to an initial 500,000 dollars emergency pledge deployed earlier in the week.
