Iceland held its national referendum on whether to reopen negotiations to join the European Union. Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir and Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir cast their votes in favor of restarting accession talks, acting as prominent advocates for the "Yes" campaign.
