Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem rejected the US-brokered Lebanon-Israel framework agreement in a televised address on Friday. Qassem called the deal humiliating, and destructive to Lebanese sovereignty, vowing that his group will not surrender or accept terms requiring its disarmament.

He explicitly opposed the creation of "pilot zones," the deployment of the Lebanese army under these terms, and any foreign verification systems. Hezbollah maintains that it will keep its weapons and continue armed resistance, viewing the agreement as a tool for foreign control.
