Iran sets conditions for reopening Hormuz Strait

Iran is preparing a list of conditions to present to the United States for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian security official said on Thursday. He added that ships would be allowed to use a designated temporary channel in the central part of the strait if the US meets Iran’s conditions.

Iran has reached an agreement with Oman on a shipping corridor through the strait. But Iran had said it will prepare for a new phase if conflict resumes.
